Northern Impact was established to address a structural gap in the UK's investment landscape: the absence of a dedicated, long-term platform capable of connecting patient institutional capital with the industrial and infrastructure projects that define national economic resilience.
We operate at the intersection of sovereign strategy and private capital. Working with governments, combined authorities, and institutional investors to identify, structure, and advance investments of genuine national significance.
Our founding
Built for a specific moment in British economic history
Northern Impact was founded in response to a clear and urgent need. The UK's industrial base — its energy infrastructure, advanced manufacturing capacity, critical mineral supply chains, and digital backbone — requires sustained, long-duration capital at a scale that no single institution can provide alone.
Our founders brought together expertise from sovereign wealth management, infrastructure finance, industrial strategy, and public policy to create a platform purpose-built for this challenge. Northern Impact is not a generalist fund. It is a focused vehicle for a specific and consequential task.
